Jobs and Training

Work with others to cut unemployment in the constituency which is still higher than the national average, secure investment, good jobs and high quality apprenticeships for our area. I will hold an annual Jobs Fair.

Our NHS and Social Care

Make sure that NHS bosses don’t try to make crucial decisions about our health care without listening to you first. Protect local services and Katie Road NHS Walk In Centre. Campaign on children’s dental health and report back to you on local NHs plans.

Labour’s General Election candidate for Birmingham, Selly Oak, Steve McCabe has underlined the significance of renewed support from NHS England for a local children’s charity based in Selly Oak constituency.

Steve McCabe has been a long-term supporter of Acorns Children’s Hospice, which provides care for life-limited and life-threatened children and support for their families.

Steve McCabe, MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, will launch his local campaign – Healthy Smiles for Birmingham – today (27th April), alongside Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary Jon Ashworth, to end the scandal of escalating child hospital tooth extractions in Birmingham.
