Steve McCabe MP has joined the fight against breast cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s flagship fundraiser, wear it pink day.

The theme of wear it pink this year is to ‘look good, do good’ in support of breast cancer research. On Friday 24 October people across the country will come together to find fun and stylish ways to wear pink in the office, at home or at school. Donations raised by this year’s fashion inspired event will go to Breast Cancer Campaign to fund lifesaving breast cancer research.

6 months after first contacting the Minister for Disabled People, Steve McCabe MP is still waiting for a meeting despite many vulnerable constituents having contacted him about long delays to their Personal Independent Payment applications.

Steve McCabe MP was meant to meet the Minister in July but following the government’s reshuffle, the meeting has now been delayed even further to October. Steve first contacted the Minister in March after being inundated with complaints from vulnerable constituents about the Personal Independent Payment application process.

Steve McCabe MP has been inundated with concerns raised by constituents about the on-going conflict in Gaza and Israel.

On Monday the Foreign Secretary outlined the three objectives of UK government policy: securing a ceasefire; alleviating human suffering; and, keeping alive the prospects for peace negotiations. The UK is currently contributing £349 million of humanitarian aid but there are currently 17,000 Gaza inhabitants seeking shelter through the UN.

Steve McCabe MP is supporting Cancer Research UK’s campaign to discover more about the power of research.

Steve McCabe MP joined Subway in Parliament to highlight its commitment to public health and its leading position in endorsing a seventh nutrition-based Responsibility Deal pledge.

Steve McCabe MP is encouraging everyone to get fundraising and to sign up to the first-ever Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games this year.Sainsbury’s has raised over £74 million since 1999 and this year, they are hoping to get 160,000 people involved with running, swimming or cycling at events across the country to raise money for Sport Relief.
